Breast Cancer Screening Event - Broomfield
Wednesday, October 30, 2019
Getting proper screenings is essential to early detection and better survival outcomes. North Metro Fire Rescue District wants to make it easier for residents to undergo a routine mammogram closer to home. The fire district is partnering with St. Joseph Hospital to bring their mobile mammography van to Broomfield and Northglenn to provide breast cancer screenings this fall.
The mobile clinic will stop in Northglenn at North Metro Fire Station 62, 10550 Huron St., on October 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and in Broomfield on October 30 at Broomfield’s Health and Human Services parking lot, 100 Spader Way.
Appointments take only 20 minutes and are free or low-cost to most individuals. Residents should call St. Joseph's at 303-689-4595 to schedule an appointment and review a list of qualifications. Walk-up appointments are also welcome as the schedule allows. Please note that Kaiser patients are only covered if using a Kaiser facility for their annual screening.
