North Metro Fire Rescue District is partnering with A Precious Child to collect toys over the next three weeks to brighten the holidays for local children in need. The toy drive will run through Friday, Dec. 13. Residents are encouraged to donate new toys or gift cards in an effort to serve more than 12,000 children in Colorado this year. Collection bins will be in place at three of the fire district’s stations and its headquarters building.

    101 Spader Way, Broomfield
  • Station 61 (collecting items from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., daily)
    1275 Midway Boulevard, Broomfield

“We are happy to support our community and A Precious Child through our annual toy drive,” said North Metro Fire Chief David Ramos. “Christmas is a big time of year for children, and we want to help ensure every child has presents to open up on Christmas morning, regardless of their family’s financial need.”

Commonly requested items include: Barbie dolls, arts and crafts supplies, Legos, Hot Wheels, remote control cars, baby dolls, sports equipment, super hero figurines, jewelry, makeup kits for teens, perfume and cologne, winter coats and accessories, Nerf gear and gift cards for teens.
