North Metro Fire Rescue District opened its new Headquarters facility in December of 2010. This facility offers the community a central location for administrative and fire prevention services. Citizens can visit Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In December 2011, the Headquarters facility was awarded Gold LEED Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The U.S. Green Building Council identified the Headquarters as a pioneering example of sustainable design. The building received 44 points, resulting in the 2nd highest level of certification, “Gold”, in the “new construction” category.
