9900 W. 120th Avenue, Broomfield
North Metro Fire Station 65 was built in 1992 and was staffed by fire district volunteers until 1999. In 2007, the station was remodeled and expanded. Now this station, located at the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, houses three shifts of four firefighters.
The primary response area includes airport facilities, commercial properties, City and County of Broomfield detention facilities, FlatIron Crossing Mall, light industrial facilities and multi-story residential complexes. This station also provides air crash rescue services to the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, including extrication and advanced life support medical services for aircraft emergency incidents. As part of its airport response resources, Station 65 also houses an Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) truck.
