North Metro Fire is equipped and committed to ensuring public safety through fire suppression, emergency medical services and patient transportation, hazardous materials response, technical rescues and wildland firefighting.

The citizens of our District are served by 113 professional firefighters, operating from seven fire stations. Headquarters and the Training Center are staffed with 30 administrative and fire prevention personnel.  The District is also guided by an elected, five-member Board of Directors, that provides direction to Fire Chief David Ramos.

Our hard working team is dedicated to keeping our citizens safe, and our efforts personify the District’s slogan, “Excellence Through Each Individual Act,” by going the extra mile to help our community.

North Metro Fire is an all hazards response team trained to handle a diverse range of emergencies. In addition to responding to emergencies, the District proactively works with residents and businesses to build a safer community through education, outreach and prevention. Some of the services you and your family can count on include:

Fire District Operations

North Metro Fire responds to incidents such as fires, hazardous materials and technical rescues, but over 70% of the calls our firefighters respond to involve a medical emergency. As a commitment to our citizens, each North Metro Fire engine and ambulance is staffed with a minimum of one paramedic and is fully equipped to handle advanced medical life support. Whether responding to an individual suffering from an ongoing illness or aiding someone in a trauma situation, North Metro Fire paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) are prepared to help.

Ambulance Membership Program

The North Metro Fire Ambulance Membership Program helps to alleviate some of the financial stressors that impact a person or family in the event of a medical emergency that involves ambulance services. The purpose of the Ambulance Membership Program is to help our citizens offset their out-of-pocket medical costs by covering members’ insurance deductibles or co-pay percentage, up to $1,500 per year, for unforeseen emergencies that involve ambulance transport. Annual memberships are available for individuals, families and seniors. Applications are accepted year round, and no processing fee is required.

Fire Prevention Services

North Metro Fire’s Fire Prevention Division works to ensure that all buildings in our community meet the requirements of locally adopted fire codes and hazardous material regulations.  The Fire Prevention Division provides technical assistance during the planning, construction and remodeling of structures. Our firefighters also perform regular inspections to help keep our schools, workplaces and public buildings safe.

Community Education

Our firefighters not only respond to our District’s emergencies, but along with our fire and life safety education staff, they support our community by helping people of all ages incorporate lifesaving tools and strategies into their day-to-day activities. Some of the free or low-cost fire and life safety programs include:

  • Free car seat inspections for District residents
  • Free blood pressure checks
  • CPR instruction and certification
  • 9-1-1 education for youth and seniors
  • Fire extinguisher training for businesses

North Metro Fire also gets involved with the community each year through various events that we support. Many of the events are free and include:

  • 9Health Fair
  • National Night Out
  • Fire Prevention Week
  • Child Wellness Events
  • Senior Day Resource Fair

North Metro Fire is committed to delivering superior service. As our community continues to develop and grow, North Metro Fire will also advance in order to provide the best quality of care and services for our citizens.
