CPR and Stop the Bleed Classes
Saturday, November 3, 2018
North Metro Fire invites residents to learn essential lifesaving skills for free on November 3.
Family & Friends® CPR is for people who want to learn CPR and how to use an AED but do not need a course certification card in CPR for their job.
Following each CPR course, North Metro firefighters will teach Stop the Bleed classes. Participants will learn how to pack a wound and apply a tourniquet to control bleeding following a trauma.
Participants can attend one or both classes. The CPR class lasts approximately 2 hours, and the Stop the Bleed classes last approximately 30-45 minutes.
Both classes are provided with support from Mile High RETAC, which donates supplies and equipment for the classes. Registration ensures a class spot but is not required to participate as long as space allows. Classes are open to all ages, but any minors should be accompanied by an adult.
