What better way to end Fire Prevention Week than to do something to serve our community?
North Metro Fire is partnering with local food banks in Broomfield and Northglenn to collect non-perishable food for those in need, while also sharing important safety messages with our community.
We invite residents to fill out a cooking safety checklist, and bring the completed checklist and at least one non-perishable item to one of the locations listed below. Items requested by the food banks are canned soup, peanut butter and jelly, and cereal. Those participating in our drive-up food drive will receive a special North Metro Fire goody bag and fun safety activities to complete at home.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
North Metro Fire Headquarters 101 Spader Way, Broomfield 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (please drive up to the back of the building adjoining the Broomfield Library parking lot)
Those unable to participate in Saturday's drive-up event may drop off food donations at North Metro Fire's Headquarters during Oct. 5-9 between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
