How does CodeRED work?
During a CodeRED alert, calls, texts and emails simultaneously reach the specified community to deliver warnings and critical safety instructions. The system has a call back feature that ensures the message is delivered. Traditional landline phones through companies such as CenturyLink and Comcast phone numbers are entered into the 9-1-1 database and dialed automatically. CodeRED will not call a cell phone or VoIP system phone unless it has been registered.
Residents of North Metro Fire Rescue District can register for CodeRED in one of two ways, depending on where they live.
Broomfield Residents
Broomfield and Jefferson County residents should register at your911.net. To find out more information, visit Broomfield's CodeRED website.
Northglenn Residents
Northglenn residents should register at Adams County's CodeRED website. More information can be found on Northglenn's website as well.
