Richard Miller was elected to the North Metro Fire board of directors in May 2018. Prior to moving to Broomfield in 2006 to be closer to family, Director Miller served as a state trooper with the Michigan Department of State Police for 26 years. Additionally, he served as Chief of Police in Plymouth, Michigan, and eventually served as the spokesman for AAA Michigan.
Most recently, Director Miller has worked with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on various research projects. Locally, he also has served on the Broomfield Parks and Recreation Committee and is a member and president of the Broomfield Lions Club. Director Miller lives in Broomfield with his wife, Brenda, and likes to spend his free time with his grandchildren.
